The heat is relentless here in central Texas!! 104, 102, 103, 105…..Some are saying this will prove to be the worst drought in our state’s history. It’s already the worst drought in my lifetime. Everyone asks the same question, “Is it EVER going to rain?”

I sure hope so. And the rains and cooler weather of autumn can’t come too soon!

  1. I am going to do a rain dance for you! We are dealing with fires close by and the smoke makes it intolerable to be outdoors for long. We also are in need of rain. So, when I do my dance…I will also dance for you xXx ;D

I’m so ready for Fall’s arrival…summer was brutal here, so I thought, but reading your conditions, I guess we were fortunate.

I love the colors you used, so calming and fall like~
    These are beautiful!

  2. Your beautiful butterfly cards have a lovely autumn feel to them :)
Wish I could send you some of our british summer weather (rain) to cool you down!! We wouldn’t miss a few drops!! 😉
    Jan x

  3. @Ella –Thanks Ella, I may not be able to cool things down, but I can dream, right? :) We had a fire rip through the next town over last week, took out many homes, really sad. SO Dance away!!! :)

@Jan –Oh, I would love to be there!! I am actually trying to find a way to get there for the Cockayne Syndrome retreat. Enjoy your wonderful rain and thanks so much for stopping by!

  4. @Joe – Thanks, Joe, and I wish I could’ve seen that! I have not seen a single one this summer. I think all of the Texas butterflies headed for cooler temperatures. Good to have you stop by, you dropped off the face of the earth for a while! :)
