I have a confession to make.
Some of you may remember that last Valentine’s Day I got the camera of my dreams.
I had been reading photography blogs and magazines for 2 years. I was totally convinced that if I wanted to take artistic photographs I needed a good DSLR camera. I had photography fever and an SLR was the cure.
I spent a lot of time convincing my husband that I needed it, too.
But now that I’ve had it for a year, guess what?
I didn’t need it. A good quality point-and-shoot was more than able to take the photos I wanted to take. It took having both the SLR and the PAS to learn this lesson. And now I’m passing on what I’ve learned.
If you’re tempted to shell out hundreds, dare I say thousands, for a fancy-schmancy SLR, just be sure you really need the power.
All the photos on my blog are currently taken with a Fujifilm Finepix F600 EXR. It’s lightweight, fits in my pocket, and takes beautiful shots.
More Valentine’s projects coming up! Thanks for stopping by!
