In Paris

I hope you all are having a great weekend!

I’ve been out of town with my little angel, Knox. He had eye surgery last week and we are now home.  This was the first of two operations he’s having to implant artificial lenses in his eyes.  He was born with cataracts in both eyes and had to have his lenses removed when he was just a few weeks old.   I’m so excited and thankful that he will have the opportunity to see more of the world around him!

I should have my second glass mosaic up on here to show you mid-week. Thanks for visiting~

The Candy Corn Tree

I’ve been busy trying to finish up the 2012 “Candy Corn Queen” this week.

This will be my third year celebrating my eternal love for the corn.

I’ve also gotten some Queen cards printed up and listed in my little shop, so please pass on the link to all of your candy lovin’ friends.

Be sure and go ‘like’ my Facebook page, too.  Today you can see the paintings my young art students did in the style of Jacob Lawrence.  They turned out great.

The candy corn tree above was made on Polyvore.  You can check out more of my Polyvore art here.

The Queen is up next!

Message to Self

My trip to the UK is just one month away and I’m thinking about

pink hair.  Pretty cotton candy pink.  Feminine and fun.

Happy hair for an over-sea adventure.

I’ve been inspired by the lovely Daniele over at Creating Learning Flying to start

expressing myself a bit more on the outside.

I was thinking about it more today and made a Pinterest  board with some pink possibilities.

And I made my mind up as I created this collage on Polyvore.

Have you ever tried out a different hair color?

Summer of Color 2 Begins!

It’s finally here!

Summer of Color 2 is officially underway.  For the next few weeks Kristin will be posting color prompts to inspire your creativity.   All mediums are welcome, so if you love art and you love color, Summer of Color is for you!

My collage was made on Polyvore with all the colors of this week’s prompt : Rainbow Sherbet.

Be sure to check out all of the artwork over at Kristin’s place, or better yet, join in!
