Easy Cardboard Reindeer

A simple pencil drawing from my sketchbook inspired these little reindeer.  I used cardboard from my recycle bin, twigs from my yard, strips of an old curtain panel, and some different glitters. They would make sweet tags for gifts or ornaments for the tree.  I clipped them onto a cord with clothespins to make a garland across my window.

The pattern is at the end of the post for your to print out if you’d like to make a herd of your own.

I covered this one with a crinkled piece of paper bag for added texture…

Champagne colored glass glitter…

Plain cardboard sprinkled with clear crystal glitter.  Looks like a cookie!

My favorite holiday glitter: Martha Stewart’s “Gold Tinsel”.

I had fun with this last one. I cut two deer patterns out of paper bag, sewed them together and stuffed it.  I added some brush bristles for eyelashes, an ear, and a tiny red berry for a nose.

Happy Holiday Season!

Thank you for stopping by my blog and don’t forget to visit Knox’s Etsy shop this season.  Proceeds from the shop go to CS research and to support children with CS and their families.

Here’s the little reindeer if you’d like to print it out and use it as a pattern,  or just for a coloring page…
