Ibis on the Wall

My (unspoken) New Year’s resolution was to learn how to manipulate my photos and drawings in Photoshop.

I bought a book.

My husband already has the power-house program.

So what am I waiting for?

Every time I try to pick up some skills with this stuff I get side tracked!

I’m determined to learn something new this weekend, even if my family has to eat frozen pizza.  🙂

This is one of the many sketches I have in my book where I had an idea, but my drawing abilities fall way short of being able to create it.

Are you able to create/draw the images in your head?  I’ve cheated with Picnik for a long time, but now Picnik is closing.  It’s time to get my act together and learn PS!   I’m going to try and have something to show you on Monday.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

  1. Just start playing with it. Choose one tool and see what you can do with it. For me that is the best way to learn. Of course, I’m one of those who reads directions only if all else fails. Photoshop classes are great too to learn all the possibilities it offers.

  2. You draw so beautifully! I can’t draw at all, that is why I stamp. I love the bird and the woman together.

  3. Hi Scarlett – enjoy your experimentation .. I absolutely cannot draw at all .. and one day would like to give these things a try ..

I hope they get to eat something other than frozen pizza .. but have fun over the weekend trying tools out …

    Cheers Hilary
