Super Art Friday- “Spin Art”

Super Art Friday is back!

Sadly, I haven’t done much art with my middle two in the last few months due to so many doctors appts. for our tiny dude, but I’m determined to make time for art again.  It’s always one of the highlights of my week!

And besides, ART makes you SMART. 🙂

The Super Art Friday project today was Spin Art.

We pulled out our Spin Art machine.  This thing is awesome!  My mother gave it to my oldest daughter 8 years ago and it still works perfectly. I wasn’t surprised to see that you can still  buy the same one by Curiosity Kids.

You just slip a square of paper in the spinner. Put the plastic splatter-proof lid on and press the button.  Then you can drip paint onto the spinning paper and watch the colors blend and create patterns.

I ask my son, “What’s you favorite color?”

He immediately answers, “Black!”

They made so many spectacular spin art squares, I decided to combine them in a clear glass clip frame.

It looks great hanging by the Lego table.  I love using the kid’s art to decorate their “space”.

Hope you have a spectacularly fun weekend!

  1. Oh wow How Fun!
Is it sad I want to try this at my age? lol.

  2. Hey, I see something I get: the lego in that picture! ;p
Seriously, you have a LOT to teach me about art.
    I’m going to go read now… 😀

  3. I love the idea of the kids’ art on the wall — I just don’t have a lot of walls…going to go walk around the house and ponder that…
Love Super Art Friday, though! Next Friday I might be on your front doorstep. 🙂

    • I know what you mean. We’re somewhat limited too, due to bookshelves. Slowly, I’ve gotten rid of most of the mass-produced art upstairs, unless I really LOVE it. That has given us a few spaces here and there for the kid’s masterpieces! 🙂
