Here’s my third attempt at glass mosaic. I still needed cutting assistance (those curves!) from my instructor, mosaic artist Louise Gunn, but for the most part, I was able to complete this one on my own.
These tiny pieces of metallic gold glass were perfect.
Hard to get the dried grout off this bumpy glass…
Painted the wooden frame with burnt umber…

you are doing so well! Those inside cuts are super tricky without a saw. I was so impressed when your Mom started doing stained glass years ago. I never knew then how much I would end up loving glass. I wonder if you would like me to send you the pieces she made that I was given? They should go to your kids, not mine.

I know there are no words to write to comfort you I just hope that one day when you think of your precious Knox you will smile more and remember all the great times and as your smiles grow, your tears when you think of him become a little less.
