Violin Glass Mosaic

20150228_133936

Here’s my third attempt at glass mosaic.  I still needed cutting assistance (those curves!) from my instructor, mosaic artist Louise Gunn, but for the most part, I was able to complete this one on my own.

  1. Fabulous work Scarlett! wonderful interpretation of the theme, warm and cool color combo and love the small touches of bling! love, Louise

  2. love this. Really like how you have it at a slight angle, looks like it is on a stand waiting to be picked up to play beautiful music.

  3. Hi Scarlett – wonderful .. so pleased the new skill is slowly becoming easier – what a great idea – and so enjoy the exhibition and show … very clever and you really are so talented … have a happy Easter – cheers Hilary

you are doing so well! Those inside cuts are super tricky without a saw. I was so impressed when your Mom started doing stained glass years ago. I never knew then how much I would end up loving glass. I wonder if you would like me to send you the pieces she made that I was given? They should go to your kids, not mine.

Scarlett, this is beautiful. I hope you don’t mind if I share on Pintrest and refer to your wonderful website. There is a lot of great information here. I also read about your beautiful son Knox. I know there are no words to write to comfort you I just hope that one day when you think of your precious Knox you will smile more and remember all the great times and as your smiles grow, your tears when you think of him become a little less. Thank you for all the sharing you do, take care and keep creating.
