10 Things I Love About Downtown Greenville Written by Scarlett on June 21, 2009 in Art With Children, Photography Greenville, South Carolina, is one of the nicest towns I’ve ever been to. It was beautifully kept and full of all sorts of interesting things to see. Here are 10 things that caught my eye! Faded piano keys painted on a brick wall. A wicker Harley-Davidson motorcycle. The best smelling street in town. A cool little shop filled with beads of every color. Famous quotes inlaid in the sidewalks. Mr. Poinsett-he spearheaded what would become the Smithsonian Institute and was the first to bring the "Mexican Fire Plant" to the US-later re-named the Poinsettia. Bright art along the walls, painted by children from a nearby Christian school. Modern art sculpture juxtaposed with traditional architecture. Manmade water crossings near the fountain. Large fountain-the starting point for "Mice On Main"--see next post!
