Aren’t these beautiful cupcakes?
These cupcakes are from the Delish bakery in downtown Austin.
It’s my birthday. 🙂
Yes, they were as sweet as they look, but a bit salty.
Why?
We found out this last week that our little angel baby has cataracts in both of his eyes. This will mean two eye surgeries very soon, and years and years of doctor visits…and a different future than the one I had planned.
So I cried a few salty tears into my frosting today.
I hope you don’t mind me sharing this news. I thought you deserved to know why my posts have become less frequent. Some of you have been so caring and kind in your comments to me over the last year.
So how many did I eat?
Let’s just say that I tried one of each.
I hope you all have a very sweet weekend <3
Happy belated birthday, Mrs. Clay. I’m keeping baby K and the rest of the family in my prayers daily!
“The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed,
A refuge in times of trouble.
And those who know Your name will put their trust in You.
For You, LORD, have not forsaken those who seek You.”
-Psalm 9:9-10
Thank you Margaret, it means so much to all of us to know people are praying for him.
Happy belated, Mrs. C!
I am so sorry to hear about the little one and his eyes, I’ll pray for you. but as they say we are never given more than we can handle. I am sure something amazing will come through all of this.
Thank you so much for your sweet, encouraging words! every prayer for baby K means so much to me. 🙂
