Last week I signed up for this “A to Z” blogging challenge because it sounded like fun, but…..oh my.
Posting something creative for every letter of the alphabet, six times a week, through the month of April?!
My husband is already calling it a “vampire”. He says it’s going to suck the bit of free time I have right out of my life.
I puffed back at him that not blogging is the vampire, sucking away (really don’t like this analogy) the potential for artistic growth, the new connections I’ll make, and the chance to boldly blog like I’ve never blogged before.
So there. 🙂
My link is listed on the numbered thingy and it’s a done deal.
“A to Z” Challenge…..here I come.
Glad you’re still going for it and I don’t think you will regret it. It’s like anything else in life–school, hobbies, work, or whatever–you have to take control and don’t let it control you. Become as consumed with it as you wish or just trifle with it for fun. The real point of A to Z is to set a goal and learn to master the time it takes to reach that goal. The networking with others is a sidetrip that is taken as an added bonus.
Others may see what I just stated in a reverse way. Whatever you do, it’s your personal challenge for you to shape as you please.
Get you husband to start a blog to so he can do the challenge the way he wants.
Looking forward to X, Y, and Z!
Lee
Tossing It Out
@Lee–yep, I hear ya. I’m going to give it my best shot! Thanks for the opportunity!
I LOVE this idea, I think I will have to sign up too. going to check it out!
Thanks for the heads-up!
I did it last year and there were a few moments when it became difficult.
It was as if, some family members were putting up roadblocks for me, but I pushed on and made it through. You can always photograph a letter in a creative way or toss in a recipe. There are many ways to approach this.
I live with vampires, sometimes. They drain me and suck the fun out of what I attempt to do. You can always do posts ahead, when time permits.
I know you can do it!!! My family is coming around, slowly…Change sometimes causes rifts n’ waves, but life would be dull, if we didn’t try new things~ I am thrilled you are part of the challenge!!! xXx
At least you have some time between now and then to be thinking of your ideas and getting them ready. If you had to do it in “real time” then I might tend to think like your dh. 🙂 I don’t think there’s anything “extra” that I could keep up with 6 days a week for a month. But I’m also one of those who can’t even cook that often! 😉 I’ll be looking forward to what you come up with – you always inspire me.
@Susan–yeah I figured I could get a head start, but as of yet, I have no clue what I’m going to do. A creative block would hit just when I need the juices to be flowing the most! Ahhhhhhh!
Thanks Susan! See ya!
I think it’s wonderful that you’re doing the A to Z challenge. I know that posting a painting a day has been an exhilarating experience for me and there is no way to learn something that quickly without having this type of challenge.
You go, girl!!
