A Card for Him

No, it’s not my wedding anniversary.  I just needed to let him know how I feel.

Having a child with a serious illness puts strain on a relationship like nothing else does. Tensions are high.

It’s easy to fall into traps:

“This is your fault.”

“If you would’ve done “X” differently this wouldn’t have happened.”

“Why aren’t you doing more to fix this?”

 

But it’s nobody’s fault, and only God can fix it.

The truth is, without my husband I would have despaired long ago.

I’m beyond grateful for him.

Whatever may be headed our way, I believe we’ll make it through.

Together.
