This sketch blends two meanings for the phrase “bleeding heart’, the literal and the metaphoric. A ‘bleeding heart’ can refer to the plant with drooping clusters of flowers shaped like hearts, or to a person regarded as overly sentimental.

Super Art Friday-“Making Boats”
For an easy and inexpensive project, we went to our recycle bin and gathered items to create dream boats. Her boat has the benefit of both wind and steam power. 🙂 “Look Mom, this cabin opens up and there’s fishing nets in here.” 🙂
