I usually draw out my ideas for ATCs in my sketchbook before I start on the actual cards. For the “Decorated Elephants” swap I liked the idea of looking down on the top of elephant’s head, or looking at the head from the side.
And then I thought, “Hmmm.. I wonder what an elephant would look like with a chandelier on its head?” Ahh, the complex workings of an artistic mind. 🙂
I stamped the chandelier in my sketch pad and drew the elephant heads in to see if it would work.
I thought it looked superCOOL.
I covered the cards in some decorative paper and stamped.
Then I drew the elephants in pen and used my silver/gold/pink/blue gel pens to add some shiny accents.
I colored in the backgrounds solid black and added lots of *bling*.
Fun theme! I love*love*love these swaps.
I didn’t sign up for another one just yet,though. I want to work on some perdy Valentines.

I’m always amazed at your “metamorphoses.” These strike me as more Indian v.
