Hand-Painted Chocolate Rabbits

When I saw this vintage rabbit mold in an antique store, I knew I had to try my hand a making some chocolate rabbits for Easter.

I melted down Ghirarhdelli dark chocolate wafers (24 wafers per rabbit) and made 6 rabbits. They turned out really well! I decided to decorate them with spring bouquets. For the “paint” I used melted white chocolate chips, colored with a pastel palette of icing colors. With toothpicks, I carefully painted flowers, bows, and leaves onto the chocolate rabbits. Tucked into nests of grass, the rabbits fit perfectly into these cute gift containers from Hobby Lobby. I can’t wait to gift these to some special people this weekend!

Have a blessed Resurrection Sunday and thanks for stopping by!
