The inspiration for this painting came from the lines from Richard Aldington’s poem:
“O Death,
Thou art an healing wind
That blowest over white flowers…”
Once again, my friend found a large canvas in a dumpster. This is how it looked when he found it.
It’s 24” x 48″.
This painting will be on display at Christie House for their first annual Art Show, tomorrow night from 6-8 pm. If you’re local, please drop by and see artwork by children, teens, and adults who have used art as part of their grief journey. Everyone is welcome.
Oh Scarlett, this piece is so poignant and peaceful. I would love to have been able to attend the exhibition but obviously that would be impossible from the UK.
My thoughts are with you and your family dear Scarlett, I think of Knox often xx
You’re so talented Scarlet! Awesome piece of art!
Beautiful painting Scarlett!!! ~Sophia
I love that you recycle these canvases into art that looks weathered and ethereal. Art does heal. I don’t know what I would do without it too.
I love what you have created~ It is gorgeous and I so hope you win~ I am thinking of you and how art helps us cope~
