Just wanted to show you one more finished hot-air balloon ornament. I found a vintage star pin in my junk drawer and thought it would be perfect on a “Silent Night” themed ornament.
This one was made with a balloon like my first hot-air balloon ornament.
I painted the balloon with metallic blue paint and then added silver and white starts to look like a night sky.
After making this one I can definitely say I prefer making them with tennis balls like the last one I showed you. I think they’ll h0ld up better, too.
The tiny baby Jesus is made from air dry modeling clay.
I wrapped the baby in some rose colored silk ribbon and then cut a phrase from the song “Silent Night” and made a tiny banner to drape over the baby. Poly-fill is making the fluffy pillow underneath.
I’m going to be taking a break from blogging until after New Year’s, so I hope you’ll come back and visit in 2012.
Many wishes for a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year!
Merry Christmas Scarlett,
Beautiful balloon! I love the star! Enjoy your Christmas and New Years holiday with your lovely family. I hope that some of the joy that you bring to others returns to you this Christmas.

Cindy
