Yep, another bird swap.
I’m trying to build up a collection of bird cards, so every time I see a bird related swap on the ATCs For All site, I sign up.
For these cards, I used this bird stamp by “Memory Box-USA”.
I also picked up these “muticultural” markers that are perfect for stamping. I always want to stamp in these colors but I don’t have many tannish/brownish ink pads.
I used decorative papers from K& Company.
And here’s the bonus for the hostess. My kids had fun trying to think of what flavor these little birds might be trying out.
“Grubs and Cream”? “Old Fashioned Earthworm”? “Triple Beetle Suprise”? 🙂
My oldest also thinks that random facts are the most interesting to people. She prides herself, along with her friends, in being able to offer randomly generated facts upon demand.
So here’s a random fact about me to make this post more interesting:
I love this song.
Oooh, love the birds! You ATCs always leave me drooling. I *need* to sign up for one sometime, but I’m so intimidated, haha.
And that’s a really fun song. I had never heard of the band either, thanks for the introduction. (and your posts are never boring)
Thanks Ms. I, and if you ever want to do a one on one swap with me, I’d love to do it–anytime! 🙂 You can pick the theme!
Yes, I love that song. I don’t know much about the band, but I came across it and loved the carefree sound of it. I really need happy music these days.
I LOVE the birds ! I still have the nest and little eggs you gave me while we were waiting for our house. These birds are so much fun and what an added touch from the kids !!! Have a happy day !
I, too like the carefree song; it reminds one of being young and free of responsibility. Your songs are so tweet, I mean sweet~ I love the bird blowing bubbles, too cute. You did a fabulous job~
Love the birds! The ones in the rain reminded me of The Best Nest by P.D. Eastman – a much read book at our house in long ago days. 🙂 I’ve never heard of the song/band, but I’m hopelessly out of touch with modern music. Hope you have a good day today!
That is one of our very favorite books, too!
Dear Scarlett, would you really do a swap with me?!? I’d love to! It’s a bit of a mismatch in terms of skills, but if you don’t mind it…. 🙂
Yes, absolutely!
Let’s trade girlfriend! 🙂
What’s the theme?
Ditto what Susan said!
It was the hat and bonnet that made me think of Best Nest. That book was one of my favorites as a child. It was strange and lovely and a bit surreal to find myself reading it to my own children.
Love your work!
Woo hoo! How about you pick the theme? I wouldn’t even know what’s appropriate.
Would “Butterflies” be OK?
Yes, yes, it would be perfect! I’ll get to it today. So excited!
Great! And it can be any media–hand-drawn, collage, etc…ok?
Whatever you want to do!
Thanks for doing this with me. Butterflies have become a very significant symbol to me recently, but I’ll post about that later.
Have a wonderful Sunday,
Scarlett
I should be the one thanking you. 🙂
Mine are ready to send. How can I get them to you? My email is: ikeda.iluska @ gmail.com
I’m so excited about this. Thank you again for offering to swap with me.
Wow, that was fast! You said “are ready”, how many did you make? I’ll email you my address–can’t wait to see them! yay for ATC trades! 🙂
awersome ATC’s!
I love the one blowing bubbles!
