More Wooden Spool Toys

These little spool toys are so much fun to make!

And they are much easier now that I bought my first power tool–a Dremmel, along with an EZ544 cutting blade….zip!, right through the spool!

Just like the first one I made, I used copyright free clip-art images to make match-up toys, stringing wire through the halves and looping through beads at both ends.

Hope you’re having a great week!

Weather man says some cooler air is on the way!

  3. These are so old fashion; I love stuff like this~ You are clever gal, I can see these as ornaments on a tree. What a great way to decorate a pkg…
You should sell these, after you fill up your tree ;D

I love both designs, but there is something about the men in blue that attracts my eye ;D Well Done~

  7. @Sue –I’m so glad you like the photos. I try to get as close-up as I can so everyone can see the details. Thanks, Sue!

@Connie –Thanks so much! To me, ballet and glitter go hand in hand, I appreciate your stopping by and thanks for the comment!

@Ella –You know, I almost put a string on top of the ballet one so I could hang it, but then got distracted with other things…it would look super cool to have a little tree full of these, great idea!
I put one on a package, too, so I may post that one later..it doesn’t really look Christmassy though. Thanks about the blue one..I wanted to stick with the colors on the original label since it was still in pretty good shape.
Thanks so much and I’ll be over to visit soon!

@Hilary –What a beautiful thought…I hope my girls will keep them and pass them along. Hope you’re having a wonderful week and thank you so much for stopping by!

@Vicki -Thank you! I love old-timey looking images, too, especially for children…I go to the antique mall often in the next town over scouring for old post-cards. Every once in a while I’ll find one!

@Sandra –Wow, that’s awesome! Thank you so much, Sandra,I’m grateful to you! Or as my 16 year old daughter would put it, “That’s totally legit” 🙂
