  1. Is a black heart a heart that’s been burned to ashes? A heart that sees no light?

    I love your illustrations.

  2. Thank God the black is washed away by the blood of the Lamb!

Yes, Gregg, the blackness of her sin has been paid for, no doubt about that.

But her heart is still full of sadness.

  3. Full of sadness…but when I think of the words and pictures that come from it, I can only imagine it white.

A heart heavy beyond measure, that manages to be gentle and giving and loving beyond measure as well.

    Humbles me, this.

  4. I can see you portrayed your feelings, really well with this image. It is a sad, soulful image.
I posted some of my paper bag creations.

This blackbird reminded me of our discussion of birds a few years ago in reference to scripture. I still don’t have any more insight but I keep it in mind
often. The heart speaks volumes too. I keep yours in my heart often. I love you. I wish desperately there was something I could do. Praying for your heavy heart every single day.

That’s interesting that you remember that, Jeana, That was a long time ago, but I still think about it often, as well. Love you –S
