“How Artists See…”-Art Appreciation for Young Children

If you love sharing art with your children like I do, you’ll love the “How Artists See…” series by Colleen Carroll. I started going through “How Artists See Animals” this Spring with my 2nd grader.  The layout is simple and easy to follow: picture of a piece of art on the right, brief info./thought provoking questions on the left.

Art appreciation is a high priority in our home school because the teacher likes it that way  🙂

The smaller size of these books allows them to be taken easily in the car or stuffed in my purse on the way to an appointment.

The artwork shown in these books varies greatly in style and spans many cultures, which keeps me interested, too.

I looked over at Amazon recently and saw that there are over 20 of these little books out now.

Have a great weekend!
