If you’ve ever been up to the Pacific Northwest, then you know what I mean.  Yes, it rains a lot, that’s true, but the results from that incredibly high average rainfall are worth it.  It’s breathtakingly beautiful.

I was looking through some of my photos from our year up there and came across this one.  It was taken at a park called St. Edwards in Bothell, WA.  I will go ahead and describe it: Tall towering trees of various species as far as the eye could see.  There are no snakes to worry about, just a few slugs.  There are no sticker-burrs and no mosquitos. In fact, no insect repellent is necessary.  You won’t step on any fire ants either, just ferns. 

Yes, this entomophobic mother was quite happy up there.
