Miniature Stationery Sets

This tiny stationery set was one of my treasures when I was about 8  years old. I adored the tiny papers and envelopes so much so that I was reluctant to use them. That’s why I still have some left! My 9 year old daughter loves this little set so I took it apart and made a pattern.

For the letter papers, I cut down sheets of notebook paper, leaving the red margin line on the side.

The braided thread is knotted at the back and wraps around the front button for closure.

I made a template for this miniature stationery set if you’d like to make some of your own.

It ‘s a really tiny set, measuring  3″ x 3.75″.  So cute!

I had so much fun making this that I made 4 more!

Here’s some pictures of the different designs with different closures:

This one has vintage lined notebook paper and vellum envelopes.

For this one I copied a rubber stamp at 50% .

I made the envelopes from book text and the “7 Gypsies” tape looks like tiny postage stamps.

Closure was made with grommets and a thin strip of leather.

And here’s a pretty, feminine one. The tiny flower stamps are from Stampin’ Up.

Envelopes made from typing paper and stamped.

The lined paper is from KC Company’s ‘Sweet Nectar” paper pack.

A little something for the back…

And here’s one more with a different look. The red and white paper clip is from the “Smash” journal line.

A lined rubber stamp was used to make the letter paper.

A strip of paper tape is tucked in and can be torn in small pieces to seal the envelopes.

Hope you like these little stationery sets. They’re super fun to make and fit…

  7. These are so cute and what a great gift idea…I think anything that encourages people to utilize the handwritten method is a good idea… there is something so much more personalized that technology will never have…

    Thanks for the template…:)

    have a beautiful day Scarlett…XO

    • @Linda –I couldn’t agree more, friend, a letter (any size) is still something special…I encourage my kids to write friends and send real thank-you letters, too…don’t know if they will continue when they’re older but I hope so! Thank you for your sweet comments, Linda, have a wonderful weekend!

  8. Oh my goodness, I used to have something similar. I loved my stationary so much that I rarely used any of it, I just collected it. My mom still has my album at home. I kept at least one page and envelope for each set I had in an album. This brings back so many memories… Thank you so much for the template, I’m definitely making N. one (or two), and maybe even one for myself. You’re so generous to make the template available to us. Have a lovely day! (ps.: I heard Dallas is getting some tornados. I hope you don’t live in that part of Texas)

    • @i.ikeda –We are a lot alike! I did the same thing for a long time..that’s so cool your mom still has your album. This little one is the only one I have left, but I can still remember a lot of the others. Thanks for visiting!

      • Hi Scarlett! Thanks for the follow up comment about the paper mache easter baskets! WordPress unfortunately has been making some behind- the-scene changes and it’s been a bit frustrating for me and other WP users. (Though I still love their overall platform for blogging). These are all so elegant and beautiful and I bet their tiny-ness is so cool in person. Thank you for the template too 😉
