Photo of the Week–“Drawing Practice”

Here’s a photo I took last week when my daughter was drawing the roses.  I didn’t include it in the post because I wanted to spend a little time editing it.  It was my personal favorite of the bunch.

I was trying to follow the Rule of Thirds for this one: The focus in the top two-thirds of the viewfinder and the subject matter (to give it context) primarily in the right two-thirds of the frame.

I love the jewel toned colors in this photo, and I especially like the reflection of the vase in the dark, shiny wood of the table that the editing brought out.

Hey Missy! Thanks for your comment! Not sure what bird design you’re referring to? Are you talking about another post somewhere? Did you happen to see the ATC post with your lovely art work? 🙂
