Photography with Wings

Wings 0

I was beyond thrilled when I found these wings at O.P. Taylor’s  (“coolest store on the planet”) in Greenville, South Carolina.  These wings are so beautiful, made entirely from dyed feathers!

With the help of a very talented young model I know, I was able to get some great photography practice in.

For these photos I was concentrating on “The Rule Of Thirds”.

These were taken around 8:30 p.m. The lighting was  nice on most of them but I still wound up editing quite a bit.  The first one is the only picture in this group straight from the camera.   The wings really lent well to editing effects. More and more, I’m finding myself wanting to create an “impossible” image, one that is not realistic but beautiful and magical.
