“Where Readers Read” ATC Swap

These ATCs were for a fun, lighthearted swap I signed up for several weeks ago.  The theme was “Where Readers Read” and the specifications said to show anything reading anywhere, just so long as somebody or something was reading a book.

So they got  birds reading.  🙂

I used Tsukineko permanent  felt-tip pens and my new copic markers. I drew them in the parking lot of my church waiting for my daughter to get out of her AWANA club meeting.

I just learned something new about ATC swaps.  You’re supposed to send a *bonus* card for the host.  Now I know.

The bonus card is a little mouse doing some midnight reading on a blue sofa that was abandoned in a field…

  1. These are so adorable! I love them all, but the little mouse made me go “awwwwwwww” in the middle of a library. He’s that cute. I really want to participate in an ATC swap sometime… You’ve inspired me so much with your drawings!

  2. “Enchanting” sounds too upper-crust English fru-fru to work here. But they are. I love them! Love them all!

Midnight Mouse Under Starry Skies, Mid-Story. This one in particular appeals to me. Bit of mystery about it.

I hear crickets. Makes me happy.

    Thank you, Scarlett!
